Borders do not define us... they ignite our journey to divine purpose!
Womxn Beyond Borders Inc. empowers justice-impacted individuals, families, and LGBTQIA+ community members to overcome systemic barriers and forge new paths to stability and opportunity. Through a trauma-informed, healing-centered approach, we provide coordinated reentry support, housing stabilization, workforce development, and holistic wraparound services.
We exist to restore dignity, promote sustainable independence, and strengthen the fabric of our communities. Whether navigating the challenges of reentry or seeking broader pathways to wellness, we believe everyone deserves a foundation for healing, belonging, and a future filled with possibility.

Empowered Beyond the Walls is WBB’s comprehensive workforce development and reentry pathway designed to strengthen economic mobility, stabilizing skills, and long-term opportunity for justice-impacted individuals and families. EBW offers coordinated supports including job readiness training, digital literacy, GED preparation and paid testing, career coaching, reentry planning, and emotional wellness development. Rooted in a trauma-informed, healing-centered approach, EBW equips participants with the tools, confidence, and guidance needed to secure sustainable employment, rebuild family systems, and create new futures beyond the barriers of system involvement.

Atunse Restore Philly is WBB’s multi-layered housing stabilization initiative committed to ensuring safe, secure, and sustainable housing pathways for individuals and families impacted by incarceration, homelessness, and systemic disadvantage. Atunse provides targeted supports including crisis housing navigation, landlord mediation, documentation assistance, stabilization planning, resource coordination, and mental wellness integration. By addressing the foundational role of housing in reentry success, Atunse reduces instability, promotes community belonging, and creates the conditions needed for long-term restoration and independence.
Womxn Beyond Borders Inc., under the innovative direction of Executive Director and Founder Sappho R. Fulton, MA, MSW, Ph.D. (ABD), is a Philadelphia-based reentry and community restoration organization serving sozme of the city’s most vulnerable and historically marginalized populations. Founded in 2018, WBB develops programming grounded in lived experience and a trauma-informed, healing-centered framework designed to meet the layered needs of justice-impacted individuals, returning citizens, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Through our two core program pillars—Empowered Beyond The Walls, a comprehensive workforce development and reentry pathway, and Atunse Restore Philly, a multi-layered housing stabilization initiative—WBB delivers an integrated network of wraparound supports, including mental health and emotional wellness care, family healing and reunification services, GED preparation, crisis intervention, service coordination, and trauma-responsive case management. Rather than leaving participants to navigate fragmented systems alone, WBB provides a coordinated ecosystem of consistent, long-term support that promotes stability, dignity, and sustainable progress.
As we advance our 2026 Capacity Building Initiative, WBB is expanding its collaborative partnerships with community-based organizations, behavioral health providers, housing agencies, workforce development entities, youth-serving agencies, and domestic-violence resource networks across Philadelphia. This strengthened infrastructure and unified service model position WBB for a projected 75% increase in organizational reach and overall program effectiveness.
Through enhanced systems, evidence-informed practices, and integrated wraparound supports, WBB anticipates measurable outcomes including reduced recidivism, increased job placement and retention, improved housing stability, strengthened family reunification, and expanded access to wellness and educational resources. Each advancement reinforces our commitment to eradicating systemic barriers and transforming lived experience into stability, opportunity, and community restoration.
